The Lector Ministry calls for volunteers to grow in a warm and loving knowledge of Scripture, which is the living Word of God. Lectors are entrusted with the sacred task of proclaiming the Word of God at Mass and other liturgical services. They are encouraged to read Scripture in a clear and meaningful way so that everyone can hear and understand what is being said. Lectors are encouraged to become students of Scripture by participating in Bible Study Programs and other opportunities for adult faith formation.
